We Care for Cancer Patients

am formulating a Feasibility Study for a client but I stopped for a while to give way to an idea of establishing a Cancer Support Group.   I have to admit that I am starting from scratch as I have nothing except a vision and care.  The idea started when my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer early this year.   Since then, I began to incubate care for the cancer patients as I found out how hard it is for them to go through that stage due to so many factors affecting them:

  • Required treatment and medications
  • Physical and emotional stress
  • Mental drain
  • Physical limitations
  • Complete diet shift from cooked to raw vegetables
  • Financial
  • Other factors

We are fortunate to find a Christian Church that truly cares.  Aside from prayers, my wife recently received financial donation in support of her medications and diet.  Although I am already in support of various ministries, the Pastor’s wife brought to our attention how she is burdened with the growing number of ill members’ medical and care needs, which concerns me a lot. I told her, “why not establish a care ministry for cancer patients?”  I smiled after that but the idea did not leave my mind till to this day.  I hope somebody out there would help and support this endeavor… we wish to help organize and find support for Cancer Care Group, who will not just pray but also raise funds for the benefit of cancer patients in and outside of the four walls of our church.  We are in Tagaytay Philippines and we need both an advise and support in any form.

Allow me to thank Optimox Corporation (manufacturer of “Iodoral” – cancer medicine/supplement) as they donated 12 bottles in support of my wife.  I also would like to thank  Breast Cancer Choices (non-profit organization) who donated 2 bottles of Iodoral. Out of those blessings we received, we shared a number of bottles to other breast cancer patients attending the same church we attend (International Christian Fellowship of Tagaytay). The countless blessings also comes from family and friends who supported us in any kind.  I know that God will bless them a hundred fold in His right time.

In the near future, my wife and I would like to ask the church board to allow separate Sunday School gathering for cancer patients and those will ailment.  I am also thinking of sponsoring other projects and programs as awareness seminar-workshop, livelihood, fund raising, art exhibit and partnering with Non Governmental Organization or other Local and International Cancer Care Group.

In this modern times, a cancer patient should not lose hope because there are number of options that provides treatment or cure whether it’s conventional/traditional or alternative/natural treatment and medicines.  We both accept medicines and sponsorship donations for either of the two.

Others:

Above is a juicer highly recommended for cancer patient as natural juice from fruits and vegetable is far greater than almost all food intake.   Another effective therapy is the coffee enema (please see and ask your Doctor about it).

Feasibility Study for Buyer/Importer for Risk Management

I am into commodity trade and export since 2006, primarily offers Cavendish Banana from Philippines, Rice from Thailand/Vietnam and Moringa Propagation.

Trading and Import-Export is a money making machine but I am saddened how many importers fall into waste of time and losses of lots of money.    Many are earning but a lot are being cheated as there are so many scammers in the internet. Per my own experience, the bait always entraps those who are greed and the ones who only think of  profit yet do not invest on feasibility study and planning.   In the contrary, those who knew the importance of research are the ones who earn more revenue in the long run as it is necessary to manage the business right and its risks involve.

With this realities in the trade and import-export business, I offered an extra mile services of doing their feasibility study and business plan and wants to ask of my services.  I am thankful because they turned-out satisfied.

I provide below studies if needed but I needed ample support as doing a research required at least a week or  two for a brief stay in the target location.  Such is not an easy task and somehow inconveniently risky.

– Feasibility Study

– Business Plan

– Marketing Plan

– Brand Equity

– Other research material for a credible business direction.

Some clients do not believe and prefer to find the supplier themselves.   Everyone is free to decide.  It’s just that buyers mostly fall to wrong person/company as end sellers and/or farm owner-grower are hard to find in the internet.   What mostly found in the net are the  Trading companies or agent/broker.    Worst, some buyers  fall to a pretender-scammers.  To avoid hassles and loss of money, I suggest to my client buyers/importers that I can lead them to right contacts by allowing me to first coordinate with farm owner/end seller and provide feasibility study based on rigid research and actual site visit.  Otherwise, the risk is to the buyer/importer if they go straight to the location.    The sample is available upon request via e-mail:  denissalvatierra@yahoo.com

CRITICAL AREAS in LOSS PREVENTION (Cavendish Banana Import-Export)

I am into facilitating Cavendish Banana Import-Export from since 2007.     Since then, I experienced a lot.  Every customer and shipments made are a learning process.   Yes this business is very lucrative but unless you are familiar with the system and risks involve, you will surely end up in a mess of loss of time and money.

To resolve the issues, I formulated my own report based on years of experience, rigid research and consultation.  Below is the result and I titled it as, “Cavendish Banana Import-Export CRITICAL AREAS in LOSS PREVENTION.”   You may want to view it for your reference if you are into this business.  Otherwise, you may just end up in losses and waste of time (especially if you are not that experienced).  My report also includes actual damage report experienced by my client from his former supplier.

To have a bird’s eye view of my report, below is the actual Table of Contents…

  • Low Price Trap in Cavendish Banana Import-Export
  • Basic Checklist
  • Quality / Duration of Storage
  • Packaging
  • Transport
  • RF Temperature
  • Humidity / Moisture
  • Ventilation
  • Biotic Activity
  • Gases
  • Self Heating / Spontaneous Combustion
  • Odor
  • Contamination
  • Mechanical Influences
  • Toxicity / Hazards to Health
  • Shrinkage / Shortage
  • Insect Infestation / Diseases
Although this field is basically sales in nature, finding the lowest price is not enough.  The importer must find first the genuine farm owner-exporter or grower with set standards on harvest, packing operations, loading, shipping and customer relations.  There are lots one can find in the internet but in reality, the genuine are hard to find as most in the internet are mere trading firms or middle men companies.  To find the genuine, first, an importer must cooperate with someone who knows where the genuine farm owner/grower are, and willing to lead you directly to them.  Second, the importer needs his contact to monitor the operations until bananas are shipped and reached the port of destination in good shape and expected freshness.  That is  Risk Management or Loss Prevention.  An importer cannot just rely the matters in the hands of the supplier, especially if the destination is as far as Middle East, Europe and Russia.  It has to be delegated to trusted experienced someone, or face the consequences caused by lack of understanding and monitoring team.
Another thing.
Right Container provider, right set temperature and ventilation is also very important.   At the same time, below suggestion is very crucial:
1. Pre-survey of the plantation is a must

2. Hire Quality Inspector/s to check harvests (live-Cut!)

3. To hire Quality Inspector to supervise packing line at the weighing and selection point

4. Clear and specific purchase and cutting order to the growers/farmers

5. Someone to random check on delivery before loading into the container

6. Securing of the cut-off time to secure maximum 12 hours between cut and cooling.  At the same time, counter check set temperature and ventilation.

7. Inspection of the fruit thru the Bureau of Plant Industry (Department of Agriculture and SGS).

8. Others as the need arises.

More details are clarified with recommendations on issues at my report.
