Per gathered report, a strong earthquake just hit Eastern Turkey with a magnitude of 6 in the ricter scale. 38 people were pressumed dead and 60 people were also injured which occurred at 4:32 a.m. (0232 GMT) in Elazig province. Most people were sleeping when the earth was shaken.
As per report, everything has been knocked down, there is not a stone in place.
The quake was felt in neighboring provinces of Tunceli, Bingol and Diyarbakir where residents fled to the streets in panic and spent the night outdoors.
Records shows that Turkey frequently experience earthquake as it lies atop the North Anatolian fault. In 1999, 18,000 people died when two powerful earthquakes struck northwestern Turkey.
